Kira + Nick's Vibrant, Classic Charleston Wedding

We are kicking off this fresh new year on the blog with Kira and Nick's vibrant and classic Charleston Wedding. This wedding was one of our favorites from our previous fall season, and we are thrilled to share a little snippet with you!

Kira + Nick's Vibrant and Classic Charleston Wedding

After a slow and winding journey from friendship to relationship, these two realized what they had found in each other and decided to make things official back in 2020. Nick later proposed on their second anniversary at one of their favorite spots, The Riverwalk, right outside one of the restaurants where they had one of their first "real" dates.

Over the next year, they worked with an incredible team to bring together their dream wedding. Kira had often joked with her parents about having her wedding at their home, and when the time came, she noted that it felt like one of the most memorable details of their day!

We started the day with getting ready photos at their home before making our way to The Dewberry for their first look and a handful of wedding party photos in downtown Charleston. Nick and Kira also wanted to enjoy a cocktail with their wedding party before returning to the Cambell's home for the festivities, so we made sure to build it into their timeline!

The Ceremony and Reception at The Campbell Home

Nick and Kira chose a beautiful location under massive live oaks dripping with Spanish moss for their ceremony. The aisle was lined with luscious blooms masterfully created by By Design in the most beautiful fall hues.

After a short ceremony, guests made their way to the reception tent, where they were greeted with a truly stunning design by Melanie Murphy and her team. Kira, Nick, and I made our way to the dock for sunset photos before they enjoyed the rest of the evening with their guests and ended the night with a sparkler send-off.
