This Fripp island beach family reunion makes my heart happy. I love beach famiy photos at sunset, nothing beats it. The light, the sky, the colors and tones you can pull, I have never had a bad session on Fripp island! This was an evening last week with a 50/50 chance of rain. I am in Columbia, so Fripp island is a little bit of a drive, but I braved it and took the chance. Got to Beaufort, downpour. Downpour so bad I wait it out at a gas station, it has stormed so bad the traffic light is out and traffic is being directed. And I'm thinking, I'm going to have to turn around and this is the worst day ever... and then the sun just CAME OUT LIKE THIS. So I drove to the island and we had the most beautiful after-rain sunset ever.I was contacted a while ago by Emily, who is the youngest of four daughters in this big fun family. Every year, everyone in the family from all over the country comes together to spend time together and I think that's so important. That's how family bonds are made! And look at the bond between all these grandkids!This was a fun group. A couple of shy moments in the beginning, but when they warmed up they really warmed up!I love it!
