Southern plantation engagement session in lowcountry, South Carolina
Meet Kelly and Crayton! Their southern plantation engagement session was a photographer's dream. The grounds were drippng in morning sunlight, spanish moss, exposed brick, oyster shells, marsh, and sandy roads. We struck gold with this one!Crayton was telling us all about how he met Kelly. He asked her to dance, and she said NO! So he waited a little while longer, and he asked her again and she said.... NO! Haha! She didn't like the music! I'd say they found their song though. When Kelly and Crayton were planning their wedding location, they knew they wanted it to have a southern wedding feel, but problem is, they don't live in the lowcountry, so they'd miss out on the spanish moss and plantation homes! Augusta's Old Medical College came to save the day! It's a hidden gem plantation venue and these two are going to bring all the southern charm!Seriously how beautiful is Kelly? I am so happy that she found me on none other than INSTAGRAM! Don't give up on hashtags, photographers. It works!Leanne grabbed some behind the scenes from me. My camera strap serves literally zero purpose when I do things like this. Also blogging my camera bag soon... it's $40! Cleaning dresses, and it looks like maybe telling them to wave their arms around like snakes......? Behind the scenes photos can be inexplainable!Me shooting that last shot. Face in a plant. FACEPLANT!GOSH they are so adorable!!Crayton proposed on the beach, so it was natural that the ring got some shell action. And spanish moss in a sweetgrass basket because hello lowcountry!
Thank you guys for the easiest and most fun casual stroll around an awesome plantation home, stopping to take photos and dealing with my excitement all over the place!! I can't wait for your wedding next May!
