A South Carolina winter wedding at Harmon's in Lexington
This wedding was straight up church. In the BEST way. It's not that uncommon for me to cry at a ceremony but this was just another level. A South Carolina winter wedding and a total dream.
Meet Jeramy & Liesl. They are precious.
They are giggly, so affectionate, Jeramy always keeps Liesl laughing and Liesl's laugh smile is the greatest laugh smile on the planet. The two had a Sunday wedding in December. Their ceremony was at Liesl's school (she is a teacher). It sounds crazy but it worked out perfectly. The moment Jeramy saw his bride was such a great moment, I was in a great spot for it too! During the worship songs Liesl cried, I cried, Liesl's dad cried, I think Jeramy's mom cried... there was a lot of crying. The ceremony was seriously a church service in the best way. We were all reminded of what marriage is, why we do it, why it was never intended to be easy, and as the two washed each other's feet it was just seriously awesome. As a wife, it's so nice to attend ceremonies that remind me of the core values of my marriage when life lets us forget a little. It was just such an honor to watch and listen and sing and cry and celebrate!Their reception was in the barn at Harmon's Tree Farm in Lexington (which is now called Bridalhaven I believe) and it was filled with family photos, sweets (a Clemson groom's cake!), a hot chocolate bar, and a homeade smores bar! We took portraits on a nearby gorgeous little field and dirt road, and on the Christmas tree farm.Their toasts made me appreciate them so much more than I already did. Learning about Jeramy's baptism, hearing Liesl's dad (GOODNESS he loves her so much) recite the poem he wrote for her with not a dry eye in the house, learning so many of their awesome German traditions, it was the coolest day. And here it is!
A princess dress!
