Columbia family photographer | The Ralston Family

It's been a nice change being a family photographer for this session instead of a wedding photographer! Alexis and I know each other from the small Marine Corps connection where everybody tends to know everybody. She and her husband were in North Carolina the same time as we were, I was their family photographer a year or so ago in Beaufort, and then I just ended up following them to Columbia!

Josh is active duty and they are literally as I type this, driving the long trip to their new home in California for the next couple of years. Alexis is a paralegal converted to photographer married to a Marine living in Columbia (well as of last week anyway), I am a paralegal converted to a photographer married to a Marine living in Columbia. Ha! Doesn't get much closer than that! I'm so happy to give them some family photos of their time in Columbia before their new exciting journey. It's kind of nice stepping away from being a wedding photographer for a second and focusing on a family, these are rare for me now!Josh got a brand new truck and at the end of the session, the kids hopped in. We got some awesomeness.
