A southern Rye Patch wedding in Aiken SC
Easily one of my faves of the year! This Rye Patch wedding in Aiken SC had all of my favorite things that maximize photography: A first look, an outdoor ceremony, and a reception on location! We had SO much time for portraits, and it was just so convenient to be able to stay in one place all day! Aside from logistically this wedding being awesome, Wells and Addison had so many personal touches, which his always my favorite! Addison’s something old was her beautiful cameo pin on her bridal bouquet. She wore her mother's pearl bracelet, and a blue garter handmade by her mom. She surprised her groom with a Clemson garter to throw that night which I’m sure he got a kick out of being that he’s the Gamecock fan and she’s the Clemson fan! I knew the cake topper was special the moment I saw it. Turns out, it was Addison’s parent’s from their 1982 wedding! The reception space at the Rye Patch was decorated with wedding pictures of parents and grandparents, and the guestbook was easily the greatest thing I have ever seen- talk about art! Wait for that one!
This wedding was SOUTHERN in every way!! The flowergirls wore handmade dresses made from vintage pillowcases. Pastels took the color scheme for the day, with the girls wearing blush and the boys wearing powder blue. The groom and his groomsmen wore cotton boutonnieres to match their seersucker suits. Boiled peanuts were the wedding snack, and cotton in vases decorated the venue in vintage vases and glasses. The guests ate barbeque as they danced to an outdoor band under the café lit trees. Vintage bluebell jars, LOADS of southern flowers, and tons of southern charm everywhere you looked!
The prayer and the sibling dynamic were easily my favorite moments of the day. Addison’s sisters were trying not to cry during portraits, they took care of her so much all day long, and you could just see how proud they were. During the family prayer before the ceremony, there were so many tears. I think that’s the moment where it just hits you, here comes this big life change. And you’re not really sad, you’re just SO proud and overwhelmed with emotion!
Addison and Wells, your day was beautiful. Your first look was so incredibly sweet, and Addison you built this day beautifully with the details and the décor. Watching you cry when you walked down the aisle with your arm in your daddy’s arm, and just seeing how HAPPY Wells is to marry you, it was just a fairytale truly. You guys are surrounded by so many people who love you, and it showed that day! I hope Florida brings you so much happiness and opportunity, and I wish you guys the absolute BEST!! Enjoy their Rye Patch wedding highlights!

Gosh she is just beautiful! Okay, back to the wedding! Blush and Crew did a killer job on the invitations as always, and Addison's details were so feminine and southern!
The Rye Patch is one of the best venues to hang a dress for sure.
Look how pretty these bridesmaids hangers are! And here's Emily doing her thing!
Wells' attire was complete southern gentleman. How cool is this!!
The sweetest first look accompanied by the longest and happiest hug!
Sister realness right here! Clean the teeth!!
Addison's parent's cake topper!
The guests had green fingerprints on this gorgeous framed tree art. At the end of the night, Addison and Wells had pink thumb prints as two little birds in the tree!
All of the emotions came out on this prayer.
Addison's dress addition for the reception!
